Hello...

All I'm trying to do is plot a plaine, old cylinder in MC 15 in 3D. There is nothing about it, and what I have found anywhere, including PTC is not explained, discussed or elaborated upon.

Can SOMEONE tell me how in the world to plot a 3D cylinder in Mathcad 15 please.

Thank you

Running Multiple Scenarios of Worksheet.

Hi all,

I have a Mathcad work sheet that I would like to create a process to batch a number of inputs and get the outputs in excel and I was wondering if this is possible?

The worksheet determine the stability of a cable under different different wave heights, water depths and currents. Currently I am having to put the information in manually each time I want to check some results however this is taking a long time.

Could someone please let me know if it is possible to batch process using Mathcad?

Thanks

Chris.

Prime 3.0 Locked Regions

Does Mathcad Prime 3.0 have the option to specify locked regions?

I want to be able to lock a calculation so that the equation cannot be changed by the user while the variable inputs can be modified

This feature was available mathcad 15 M010. There is option to enable/diable region in Prime 3.0 but it does not meed our need.

Mathcad Prime 3.0 READPRN not working properly

Hello,

I am having a trouble with the Mathcad Prime 3.0 function READPRN.

It is just a simple test atm. I first define a Matrix, write it to a file with WRITEPRN and then read it again with READPRN. It works fine as long I use standard two dimensional matrices. But I need it to write/read a matrix whose elements are matrices themselve ( I thinks its called nested matrix). Anyway, the WRITEPRN function works fine again, but the READPRN causes the Mathcad to crash most of the time. It shows me a windows error message saying "PTC Mathcad Prime 3.0 has stopped working" and gives me the option to close the pogram.

I would really appreciate some help on the this issue.

I am using:

Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit

Mathcad Prime 3.0 64 bit (Trail Verison)

Attached is a example that is not working for me. (prn_ex)

EDIT: The second example is working. (prn_ex_working)

Thanks in advance

Eric

WriteDXF - create 3D models mathematically in PTC Mathcad Prime 3.0

$

0

WriteDXF allows PTC Mathcad users to create 3D models mathematically then save them as DXF files, perfectly suited for incorporation into CAD assemblies.

AutoCAD DXF (Drawing Interchange Format, or Drawing Exchange Format) is a CAD data file format developed by Autodesk for enabling data interoperability between AutoCAD and other programs. In this example we are using PTC Mathcad Prime 3.0 to generate DXF files and then viewing them in PTC Creo.

PTC Mathcad generated DXF files are raw, unstructured quad surfaces by the vertices (ordered by the right-hand rule) of the quads using a three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system and a color per facet. DXF colors must be positive numbers between 0-256. This is commonly known as pseudo code.

When i right click -> Insert -> Table, NOTHING happens. Nothing at all. Also nothing when i use the Insert -> Data -> table. This happens whether i open a blank document or in the middle of a document.

I'm running Mathcad 15.0 (M010 [MC15_M010_20110622]) on Windows 8.1 with my schools license. I have tried compatibility mode for Windows 7, XPSP2 and XPSP3 and i have tried administration rights. My classmates can it to work though. (they run same MathCad but differnet Windows (not 8.1)). I have tried reinstalling mathcad several times. Nothing changes.
I should mention that under the installation there is around 15 error messages that i can not get around (have to click ignore) because i have windows 8 and Mathcad does not support newer OS.

How can i fix this without installing different Windows?

Programming loop issue. Prime 2 works, Prime 3 does not

I have a problem with programming in the attached file.  I created this file in Prime 2 back in May 2013, and have been using it ever since to determine component values.  In December, I also installed Prime 3.  The programming loop of the file computes the period / frequency at which the output voltage equals a certain value Vgassing.  I start the programming loop with the frequency 1Hz above resonance which will give me a huge output voltage.  I then increment the frequency 0.1Hz until the output voltage drops to equal Vgassing.  When I open the file in Prime 2, the file computes the period / frequency perfectly.  If you change the input voltage Vac at the top of the page from 435V to 450V, you will see the frequency rise at the bottom of the page.  When I open the file in Prime 3, it does not give me a value from the programming loop.  If you change the input voltage Vac from 435V to 450V at the top of the page, the program just gives me a value of 0 for Ts.  What do I have to do different for Prime 3 than I do for Prime 2 to make this programming loop work?  Thanks.

In the attached MathCAD 14 worksheet, I am attempting to create a counter "v" that counts the number of times a value in an array c.a is below 1.5*hef. Is this something easy to do? I have attempted to do this with a "for" function but am not recieving the result I'm looking for.

Hey guys, I'm having problems with mathcad loading up properly.

for some reason my MathCad started not wanting to load up, but when I would go to my event viewer it doesn't load properly.

The Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385

Exception code: 0xe06d7363

Fault offset: 0x0000b727

Faulting process: 0x18d8

Faulting appllication path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad\Mathcad 14\mathcad.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Windows\syswow64\KERNELBASE.dll

from what it looks like from this error it seems like the installation isn't the problem but it may be an operating system problem.

How could i go about fixing this issue? Reloading the operating system?
